Information for Parents
The Academic Advising & Assistance (AAA) Office offers support to not only students, but parents as well. If you've been to campus during Fall Family Weekend or New Student Orientation, you may have seen one of our parent presentations.
- Fall Family Weekend is held in October of each year.
- New Student Orientation begins the week preceding the start of each fall semester.
- Gonzaga's Parent & Family Programs Office is also an excellent recourse to you. Sign up for the monthly newsletters, view their blogs, and get connected!
FERPA Waiver Form
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law designed to protect information contained in a student's educational record. We cannot speak to you in specifics regarding your student without completion of the Authorization to Disclose Educational Records form, which is available for pick-up by the student in the Registrar's Office, College Hall 229. For more information about FERPA, click here.
If you are concerned about your student, but don't have a FERPA waiver on file, please complete an Early Warning System referral form. EWS is a unique system created to address student issues and concerns that reaches out to resources across the university to get your student the help they need in an efficient manner.
