Visual Arts

Art is a major offered in the College of Arts & Sciences.  Students can earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Art (VART) majors do not have any required major courses in the first semester, but may be placed in one of the following classes based on availability:

  • VART 101 Drawing I
  • VART 112 Design
  • VART 141 Ceramics
  • VART 190 Art Survey

For VART course descriptions and program information, please visit the on-line Undergraduate Catalogue. You will follow the 2015-16 Undergraduate Catalogue.  This catalogue is currently under construction but should be posted sometime this summer.  In the meantime, please refer to the 2014-2015 Undergraduate Catalogue, as much of the information is the same.
