What is GUTS?

GUTS stands for Gonzaga University Theatre Sports, and we are an improv comedy group. Our members include both students in the theatre and dance department and numerous other departments and disciplines throughout the GU academic community.  We are a family of improvisers, working together to entertain the Gonzaga community, and improve ourselves.  We were established in 1987 as an alternative to late night drinking.  Today the GUTS community is dedicated to the craft of improv and to all who share the stage with us.

    What We Do

At GUTS we practice and perform Improvisational Comedy similar to such popular TV shows as "SNL" or "Whose Line is it Anyway?"  Using improv we created comedic scenes and situations and then work at perfecting these skills during our GUTS practices that are held twice a week. The great thing is we then share our craft with the GU community with a show once a month in the Magnuson Theatre.

Practices are held in the Magnuson Theatre on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 10:00 pm - 12:00 am.

For more information, email Erin Fitzgerald at or visit on of our practices during the times mentioned.  ALL ARE WELCOME!
