Angela Anegon - Campus Kitchens Community Coordinator
Angela is an Idaho native, born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho. She recently graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture and Life Science with an emphasis in sustainable cropping (which in plain speak means she learned how to grow fruits and veggies well). Angela finds herself well-suited for her AmeriCorps position within CCASL and Campus Kitchens as she absolutely loves cooking/baking for other people and growing/eating food. In addition to anything related to food, Angela enjoys outdoor activities, tennis, and all animals. Her dream is to own a goat dairy and small fruit and vegetable farm one day. Bailley Wootton - Mentoring Programs Coordinator
Bailley manages the mentoring programs at CCASL. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and her master's degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Bailley came to CCASL in September 2011 after working for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. She is originally from Spokane and is excited to be back in the Northwest! Bryan Rinkus - Campus Kids Program Assistant
Bryan is a full time graduate student in the "Communication and Leadership studies" MA degree program. In addition to his work with Campus Kids, Bryan has been a graduate coordinator of Gonzaga University Specialized Recreation (GUSR), and an advisor for our Mission:Possible- Knoxville service immersion trip. Originally from Turlock, California, Bryan is a sociology graduate from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He spent his years between undergraduate and graduate school volunteering as an Intern on President Obama's first campaign, providing one-on-one care for an adult with severe autism and epilepsy, and working as the Assistant Director of a summer camp in California. He is an avid San Francisco Giants fan, and has encyclopedic knowledge of the television program "Futurama." Caitlin Bletscher - Social Justice Program Assistant
Caitlin is a full time graduate student in GU's Masters program in Communication and Leadership studies. Caitlin helps coordinate four programs: Just Desserts, Homeless Outreach, Lil' Bulldogs, and ZESST. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Caitlin is an Organizational Communication graduate from George Fox University. After working for the George Fox University Admissions Office upon graduation, Caitlin spent her time in volunteer opportunities at various nonprofit organizations: Compassion First (sex trafficking victims in Indonesia), Plus One (economic rebuilding in Port au Prince, Haiti), Acting on AIDS (World Vision), EcoTrust, among others. When she isn't at CCASL, you will find her working in the Organizational Leadership Department or the newly developed Title Nine store in the Perry district. Emily Paulson - Campus Kitchen Coordinator
Emily is the coordinator for the Campus Kitchen at Gonzaga University. The Campus Kitchens Project utilizes food recovered from on-campus dining facilities to strengthen bodies, empower the minds of student volunteers, and build communities. Jeb Berg - Program Assistant III
Jeb manages the budget and operating activities for CCASL, ensuring that our programs continue to run smoothly and grow efficiently. He joined CCASL in August 2010, returning to his alma mater after managing special event sales for the University of Utah and serving as an AmeriCorps volunteer at the House of Charity. Jeb is currently an MBA student in the school of business and enjoys wintersports, mountain biking, home-brewing, and spending time with his fiancée. Luisa Gallagher-Coordinator of Student Engagement
Luisa is the Coordinator of Student Engagement at CCASL overseeing immersion trips such as Mission: Possible, co-curricular community engagement, and leadership development. Luisa is originally from Wollongong, Australia and is a Graduate of Wheaton College with her BA in Communication and her MA in Educational Ministry. She began working at Gonzgaga in the fall of 2011 after spending four years in Residence Life. She is currently working on her Doctorate degree in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University. Mary Kelly - Secretary
Mary enjoys working with the dynamic and committed staff and students at CCASL. She joined the team in August 2010 and is very happy to be part of CCASL and Gonzaga's Student Life Division. Returning to campus and working closely with the students of her alma mater is a dream come true. After Graduating with a BA in Speech Communications, Mary spent 2 ½ years in Niger serving as an Environmental Protection Volunteer with the Peace Corps. Molly Ayers - Assistant Director
As Assistant Director, Molly provides leadership and direction to CCASL while also overseeing the academic service-learning program. She works to sustain the academic service-learning program through grant writing, coordinating events to educate and train faculty and community partners, leading the service-learning advisory board and works with the Inland Northwest Service-Learning Partnership (INSLP) to increase service-learning efforts with local higher education institutions, school districts and community partners in the Spokane community. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a BA in History and an MA in Philosophy. In addition to her work at CCASL, she teaches, serves on the board of The Artisans, enjoys traveling, yoga, and spending time with her family. Shannon Henry - Grant Accounting Assistant
Shannon manages the budget and operating activities for CCASL's Mentoring Programs. Working with budgets and grants, she ensures program quality through proper allocation on financial resources. Shannon will be graduating from Gonzaga in Spring of 2012 with a degree in Accounting and Entrepreneurial Leadership. At GU she has also been involved in the Hogan program, Gonzaga in Florence, and GSBA. She joined CCASL in 2011 and is excited to work in the amazing Gonzaga community with student leaders through service. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, skiing, biking, and running. Sima Thorpe - Assistant Dean of Students/Director of CCASL
Sima is the founder of the Center for Community Action and Service Learning. She started at Gonzaga in 1994 as Director of Volunteer Services. Before coming to Gonzaga, Sima was a secondary English teacher in Oregon and Idaho and a legal advocate for low-income families in Spokane. Over her years at Gonzaga, she has built a department that is nationally-renowned for its work in civic engagement and service-learning. Throughout her career she has maintained close ties with the non-profit community in Spokane, including serving on the board and as President of the Women Helping Women Fund. Todd Dunfield - Associate Director
Todd has been committed to working in Jesuit Higher Education for over a decade and has specialized in the areas of residence life and civic engagement. He returned to his alma mater in June of 2004 and currently supervises the staff in the areas of academic service-learning, co-curricular programs including immersions, and the youth mentoring programs. During the past seven years Todd has overseen the development and implementation of CCASL's programs and activities. Todd earned his master's degree in student affairs from Seattle University and graduated in the 2011 class of Leadership Spokane. He is an avid bicycle commuter and serves the hikers of Washington State by being on the board directors at the Washington Trails Association. The past few years he has also served as a committee member on the Advisory Council for Sustainability and Stewardship at Gonzaga University. Zachary Reuter - Middle School Program Assistant
Zach runs the group mentoring programs (SMILE, Zag Study Buddies, GAME, Earthbound, and The Garry Gardening Project) and two one-on-one mentoring programs (Project Eye to Eye and Connections) at CCASL. He is a senior at GU and will be graduating with a B.A in Psychology. He has been very involved with one-on-one and group mentoring since his freshman year and is excited to now oversee these great programs. Zach is also an amateur film critic, hip-hop music connoisseur, and avid basketball player.
