GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS

Graduate Assistantships are granted as a means to improve the quality of applicants - attracting better-qualified students who would not come without financial aid, or to increase enrollment - enabling some students to attend who otherwise could not. Assistantships should normally provide for the waiver of no more than one-half the credit hours required for a degree, and those credit hours can only be graduate credit hours.

Graduate Assistantships are offered in several departments and schools. These awards remit tuition (excluding fees) in full or in part. Applications for Assistantships may be directed to the school or department in which the student will enroll. (Note: A portion of Graduate Assistantships represents taxable income to the recipient.)
