Peer Educator Leaders
Peer to peer support plays an important role in the academic and personal success of our students. We strive to empower students who have a desire to become leaders in the Gonzaga community. At the Student Wellness Resource Center we hope to build skills in our student leaders that will enable them to address campus wellness issues. Our peer education groups are:
GPlus (Gonzaga Peers Listening & Understanding Students):
GPlus is a group of BACCHUS Network Certified Peer Educators who educate about alcohol and other drugs, power-based personal violence, mental well-being and physical well-being. They provide support and resources fo students dealing with these issues and/or seeking more information for themselves or a friend. GPlus is committed to developing workshops, hosting events, and creating programs that provide students with the relevant education and resources needed to live a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
S.A.S.H.A. (Students Advocating Sexual Health Awareness):
SHASHA is a student initiated program created to address sexual health and wellness at Gonzaga University. By hosting events and speaker series, SASHA provides students opportunities to participate in conversations and reflection surrounding individual responsibility in regard to sexuality, respect, healthy relationships, as well as learn more about health exams, sexually transmitted diseases, and other sexual health issues.
