Schedule of Events
Below you’ll find a rough schedule of events for both you and your student, as well as a checklist of things to think about before you get here. These can be very helpful at making move in day a little less stressful and will give you a little more time to take part in the other activities that will be going on Orientation Weekend.
Friday August 29, 2008
9:00am-4:00 pm – Residence Hall check-in and dorm room move-in
Orientation Station check-in at Crosby Steps
Network set-up with the Help Desk
Take Pictures for Student ID/ Pick up ID
1:00-4:00pm – Campus Tours led by Ambassadors
8:00-9:00pm – Presidential Address by Fr. Spitzer (Parent Event)
8:00-10:00pm – Resident Hall Activities (Student Event)
11:00-1:00am – Exclusive GU Fred Meyer Night
Saturday August 30, 2008
9:00am-12:00pm – Residence Hall Check-In
12:00-4:00pm – Time in Residence halls and 3 rotational academic sessions (Students)
Info sessions (Parents)
4:15-5:00pm – Small Group Meeting
6:30-8:00pm – Wine and Cheese Parent Social
8:00pm-12:00am – Welcome Night (Student Event)
Sunday August 31, 2008
10:00am-12:00pm – President’s Reception Breakfast
1:00-2:00pm – Welcome Mass
2:00-3:00pm – Goodbye Parents - Don't forget to make your plans for Fall Family Weekend!
4:00-5:00pm – Second Small Group Meeting
6:00-11:00pm – Boat Cruise in Coeur d’Alene

9:30-10:30am – Academic Convocation
10:45am-12:00pm – Advisor Meetings
4:30-5:30pm – Class of 2012 Picture
9:00pm – S’Mores by the Shores
10:30pm to 12:30am – Outdoor Movie Presentation by GSBA
