Justice in January

JIJ

Mission/Purpose and history of the program

Justice in January was started in 2011 based on a desire to develop leadership and service training for student leaders at Gonzaga.  JinJ coordinators encourage the development of service projects targeting social justice issues and meeting the needs of the local community.  The purpose of this program is to provide a winter break immersion trip for Gonzaga University student leaders where they can grow as individuals as they serve and give to others.

There are three different sites forJinJ where you can participate in various types of service depending on what the community needs.  These sites are Tacoma, WA, Portland, OR, and Boise, ID.  There is also a $125 registration fee for JinJ and then student leaders will be responsible for fund raising for the remaining amount due by letter writing.

Justice in January begins Sunday January 8th and ends Sunday January 15th.
