Statistics reflect incidents reported as occurring on campus, adjacent public property, or reportable non-campus property, as defined by the Clery Campus Security Act.

(1) Incidents which manifested some evidence of discrimination based on race, color, religion, ancestry, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual origin, or mental, physical, or sensory handicap, but which did not fit the definition of a crime under Revised Code of Washington (see below), or the FBI UCR definition of a hate crime.

(2) Under RCW, Malicious Harassment consists of:

(a) Causing injury

(b) Causing physical damage or destruction

(c) Threatening a specific person or group of persons, and placing that person, or group of persons, in reasonable fear or harm to persons or property because of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or mental, physical, or sensory handicap.

(3) Includes obscene, threatening, nuisance, and multiple hang up calls

(4) Unauthorized entry of a vehicle for the purpose of committing a crime (theft, vandalism, burglary, etc.). Includes attempts.
