We are in the middle of construction on a new residence hall scheduled to be open for fall 2009. It is designed corridor style, with common area bathrooms. What makes this residence hall unique is it is the first devoted to under division residents that will have an on site café, a reception desk staffed for late night hours, and a faculty member who will eventually live in and coordinate the living and learning activities by fall 2010. The 5th floor of this residence will accommodate 1st and 2nd year residents who participate in the Community Service and Leadership Theme Communities. Other unique features include:
· a lounge area for each wing on each floor
· a music practice area on the top floor, including a piano
· on site parking beneath the first floor
· a residence hall library collection
· a seminar room
· a full sized classroom
· several floor level recreation areas
