Burch Apartments

Burch Apartments are located at 224 E. Sharp Avenue.

The Burch Apartments, located on the northwest side of campus. This apartment complex accommodates students subject to the residency requirement. These apartments provide spacious student housing. Modest air conditioning is provided for each apartment.

Each unit is composed of:

• two bedroom areas
• kitchen
• bathroom
• central living room area with either a balcony or a patio

All units include:

• living room furnishings (chair, love-seat, kitchen table with chairs)
• bedroom furniture (desk, bed, dresser, wardrobe)
• kitchen stove and refrigerator
• cable TV

• data port jacks for access to ZagNet

Students in their first or second year on campus are still required to purchase a meal plan, even though there are great kitchens in these facilities. We recommend a very low level meal plan.

Each apartment unit is designed to accommodate up to four students. Thus, many of the features of each unit, such as compartments for food storage or the placement of outlets, have been designed around this principle. Each bedroom has its own phone line and lock for added security and privacy.

The complex contains a laundry facility for the use of complex residents, well-lit walkways and parking lot (purchase of permit is required), and landscaping which ensures extensive visibility for pedestrians.

A Resident Director is assigned to Burch as well as three Resident Assistants. These student staff members are part of the Office of Housing and Residence Life team, and work in conjunction with the full-time professionals in this office to provide a quality experience based on respect for oneself, others and property.
