Basketball: Men's and Women's

The magic of this year's Men's Basketball team was definitely not imaginary.

The Bulldogs once again proved themselves to be among the elite, both on and off the court.The Bulldogs claimed the WCC title in front of their adoring fans in the Kennel, and then continued in the NCAA tournament to the Sweet Sixteen.

Getting' the job done

Zach Gorde powers over his San Diego defender. Already a veteran player in his sophomore year, Gorde is being looked at as the next powerhouse center for the Bulldogs.

Row, Row, Row your boat

It is quiet and cool on the water as this women's crew team takes deep breaths and instructions from the coxswain. It is evident that the women's crew team understood the importance of those early morning practices, as they claimed their 5th straight WCC title.

Balancing sleep deprivation and the intense physical demands of rowing, the guys of the Varsity 8 boat get ready for the day with a little early morning wake up call. The rising sun and cool water provided a scenic and often inspiring start to the day.

Baseball

In a great spectacle of resilience and determination,

the Gonzaga baseball team etched out an impressive 26-25 winning season, 17-13 in WCC play. The Bulldogs clinched their first West Coast Conference Division title in a down-to-the-wire battle with Santa Clara.

Triathlon

Performing Triple Duty

This contender does not skip a beat as he jumps out of the pool and heads toward his bike for the next leg of the triathlon. The mile swim, which is 35 laps in the Martin Centre pool, was the first event of the day.

When heading out for a 6.2 mile run, it is important to take it one step at a time. The run was the last event of the triathlon.
