WARNING: WHAT YOU SEE BELOW IS THE 2011 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS. WE ARE LEAVING IT UP SO THAT YOU CAN SEE THE TYPES OF EVENTS THAT NORMALLY TAKE PLACE DURING FFW. WE ANTICIPATE THAT THE 2012 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS WILL BE READY BY MID-AUGUST.
Friday, October 21
8:30a-6:30p Guest Registration (College Hall 1898 and 1912 Rooms)
Check in just inside the main entrance of College Hall to receive your FFW packet. The packet includes nametags, your schedule for the weekend’s events, a lecture schedule, Saturday tour tickets and other helpful information. Stop across the hall and enjoy coffee or tea and a cookie.
9:00a-2:00p Class Visits for Parents
Join a regularly-scheduled class and see faculty and students in action. Available classes are listed in your FFW packet. No advance registration required, but please be aware that there may not be seats available in every class.
10:00a-4:00p Jundt Art Center & Museum
Get lost in the motion of line that Melissa Lang captures as she translates nature onto canvas and thrill to the portraits created by Stephen Rue both of whom are Spokane artists. Showcased in the Arcade Gallery of the Jundt are silver gelatin prints from the GU collection.

Join us for the FFW weekend “kickoff” event while you delight in the fruits of autumn in the Pacific Northwest. Revel in great jazz, fine wine or punch, and choice hors d’oeuvres in the company of GU community members, faculty and administrators. All family members welcome (and dress is casual)!

Saturday, October 22
8:00a—1:00p ROTC Cadet’s Field Training (Cataldo Dining Hall and Camp 7-Mile)
Join the award-winning Gonzaga ROTC Bulldog Battalion as they practice battle drills, movement techniques, and communication skills in a situational training exercise. Families will receive a briefing from senior cadets and lunch in the field. This event reserved for family members of cadets.

Saturday arrivals and/or information-seekers should come to the main entrance of College Hall for coffee, cookies and conversation. Also a place to rendezvous with your student!

Bring your little bulldogs, ages 3 to 10, to take part in a variety of fun and free activities. Please Note: Each participant’s parent must complete an “Informed Consent” form prior to beginning this activity. Forms are available at the Registration/Hospitality Desk.
9:30a—2:30p Little Spokane/Indian Painted Rock Hike (Meet in DeSmet Circle)
The GU Outdoors program takes you on a guided walking tour of some of the Inland Northwest’s beautiful landscapes. Advance bus reservations required.

Does your student want to travel the world? Do you want them to gain valuable lessons as they do? Then Study Abroad is your ticket!
