FAQ


1 . If I forget my password, what should I do?^

For forgotten password the account owner will need to contact the IT Support Center at 509.313.5550.

2 . How do I find my computer name?^

Windows XP - Right click on ‘My Computer', clicking ‘Properties', and then clicking ‘Full Computer Name'.
 
Windows 7 - Open System by clicking the ‘Start' button, right-clicking ‘Computer', and then clicking ‘Properties'. Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, you can find your computer name, and its full computer name if your computer is on a domain.


3 . How do I map a network drive?^

Many different ways to do this depending on your computers operating system. Please contact the I.T. Support Center at 509-313-5550 for assistance.






4 . How do I add a printer?

Windows XP - Click the Start button, clickingRun, entering \\ricci then pressing enter. Double click on the printer you would like to install.


Windows 7 - Open System by clicking the Start button, in the "Search programs and files" box enter \\print and double clicking on the printer you would like to install.     

5 . How do I Report a problem?^

By contacting the I.T. Support Center at 509-313-5550, email to helpdesk@gonzaga.edu or by opening a Self Service Incident at http://support.gonzaga.edu.



6 . Who do I contact if I have problems with Media equipment in classrooms?^

7 . How do I report a problem with my data/Ethernet/network service?^

8 . How do I connect to the Gonzaga Community Network?^

Many different ways to do this depending on your computers operating system. Please contact the I.T. Support Center at 509-313-5550 for assistance.



9 . How do I register my network devices on the wired network?

Disable your wireless connection, plug into the wired network (orange colored plug) using an Ethernet Cord and directing your web browser to http://zagreg.gonzaga.edu


10 . How do I get my iPhone/iPad/iTouch set up?^

Accessing Gonzaga Employee Mail (GEM) then following these steps: 

  1. Go to 'Settings'
  2. Click on 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars'
  3. Click 'Add Account'
  4. Select  'Microsoft Exchange' 
  5. Enter current Gonzaga Email Address, Domain = "Gonzaga", Username, Password 
  6. Click 'Next' 
  7. Enter server = "gemweb.Gonzaga.edu"
  8. Click 'Done'
