Disability Resources, Education, & Access Management provides access services to Gonzaga University's programs, services, activities, and facilities for qualified students with disabilities in compliance with federal and state laws. DREAM may arrange or provide academic adjustments, accommodations, auxiliary aids, assistive technology, advocacy and other types of assistance for students with disabilities.

Process for Securing Accommodations
Gonzaga University students who require access or accommodation due to a disability must contact DREAM. Students must complete the DREAM process for acquiring accommodations. Both permanent and temporary conditions can qualify for accommodation.
If you are unsure if you have a medical condition that qualifies for disability accommodations, please call (509-313-4134) or come into the DREAM office (Foley Library 209) and talk to a staff member, do not delay meeting with a DREAM representative out of concern for not having appropriate paperwork.
There are three steps to the DREAM process for acquiring accommodations:
If you are already seeking treatment for a condition, ask your treating professional to send documentation to DREAM. The documentation should fulfill the following criteria:
- Be provided by a medical practitioner who is licensed to diagnose the condition (the practitioner's contact details and credentials should be included)
- Identifies a medical condition(s) (i.e. gives a diagnosis) and presenting symptoms, especially if the symptoms are atypical.
- Describes diagnostic methodology used (how the diagnosis was derived). (Note for medical providers: please be as thorough as possible in this step)
- Describes expected progression or stability of the medical condition(s).
Any additional information from the medical practitioner that will help us best serve the students accommodation needs will be considered. However, the University is the final determinant of appropriate accommodations in this academic environment.

Once DREAM has received appropriate medical documentation the review process begins. It can take up to 15 business days to review that documentation. Once we have reviewed your documentation, we will contact you to schedule an appointment.
Upon completion of an intake appointment you will have a copy of your disability accommodation letter that outlines determined academic accommodations. It is your responsibility to deliver this letter to your professors and notify them of your accommodations.
If you encounter problems requesting accommodations in the classroom contact DREAM immediately (509-313-4134). Issues concerning accommodation implementation require a conversation between DREAM and the person(s) (faculty, staff, etc.) who control the environment (such as the classroom) - that burden is not on you.
If you need your accommodation plan to be revised, contact the DREAM office and request an appointment.
Process for Law Students
Steps 1 & 2 above apply in the same manner.
After your intake appointment, DREAM will send your disability accommodation letter to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at the Law School, who is responsible for providing students with instructions on securing accommodations in the Law School.
