Alternative Testing Services Available at DREAM
The Office of Disability Resources, Education, & Access Management can provide testing space for students who have alternative testing accommodations. We encourage students to communicate with their faculty members about their testing needs, as these needs can often be met within the classroom environment. Since this is not always possible, we do provide a quiet environment where students who are registered through our office, and are receiving testing accommodations, can complete exams and/or quizzes.
Some of the testing accommodations we can provide include:
- Extended Time (not unlimited)
- Distraction Reduced Environment
- Audio Exams
- Use of Computer for Essays
- Use of Adaptive Technology Devices
- Reader/Scribe Services
If a student decides to use their testing accommodations, they must schedule the exam at least one week prior to the exam date. Failure to do so may make it difficult or impossible for us to acquire the exam from the professor and hire necessary graduate students to proctor the exam.
All accommodated exam appointment requests are made online at www.gonzaga.edu/disability/students
The scheduled exam time should correspond with the class meeting time, unless prior authorization has been received from your instructor. Regardless, you must notify your professor of your decision to take your exam at Disability Resources. You must do this for every exam!If you have any questions about this process, please call or email us:
