Performance Notice
The University's intention is to work with employees whose performance or professional conduct falls below standards. A Performance Notice is a non-disciplinary action to address problems at the earliest opportunity so that they do not become prolonged or more serious. A Performance Notice normally involves verbal discussions between the employee and supervisor, but may also involve written documents which clarify performance or conduct expectations, further training, mentoring, review of duties (possible revision of duties, responsibilities and processes). A Performance Notice is used at the University's discretion, and each case is judged on its own merits. A Performance Notice need not be used before implementing Corrective Action. The University views Performance Notices as a shared responsibility between employee and supervisor.
