National Gonzaga Day

On Jan. 24, 2013, the Gonzaga community gathered in person, and in spirit, to commemorate the first National Gonzaga Day, a keystone event in GU's 125th Anniversary celebration. The festivities included events at local alumni chapters around the country, a nationally televised basketball game and fireworks. During halftime of the game, President Thayne McCulloh shared news of a lead gift commitment that will allow for the construction of a new University Center, upon approval from the Board of Trustees. The facility will not only transform Gonzaga’s campus, but the future of Jesuit education at Gonzaga.
