Spokane Community Event

Gonzaga would not be the university it is today without the amazing support of the Spokane Community. In our 125th Anniversary year, we wish to thank you by inviting anyone in this great community to join a celebration at the Spokane Convention Center Jan. 24, 2013. Be sure to wear your Zag gear and bring the whole family! Here are some details:

This event is part of a nationwide service drive, so please bring a non-perishable food item(s) as your “ticket for admission.”

6-10 p.m.
6:30 p.m.   Program featuring university updates, prizes and videos
7 p.m.        Women vs. Pepperdine via live streaming video
8 p.m.        Men vs. BYU via ESPN2 broadcast (women’s game will continue on 2 screens)
9 p.m.        Special live halftime webcast from The Kennel featuring videos, shout-outs
                  from events around the country, President McCulloh, Spike, Cheer Squad and more

* FREE shuttle bus service will be available for GU students who wish to attend the Spokane Community event. The bus will board at Desmet circle beginning at 5:45 p.m. and will run approximately every 20 minutes until 10:15 p.m.

Event Emcee
Former Gonzaga basketball star Dan Dickau will emcee the event. Dickau was drafted by Atlanta in 2002 after being named Gonzaga’s first Associated Press first-team All-American. He played six seasons in the NBA.
