Rudolf Fitness Center

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Kermit M. Rudolf Fitness Center is to provide positive recreation, fitness, and wellness programs and services for all students, faculty, and staff.  The Fitness Center is focused on promoting educational leadership, physical fitness, and leadership pursuits.

A main objective is to provide a variety of programs that are fun, social and that lead to the development of the total person.

The Rudolf Fitness Center opened March 6, 2003, featuring a full service fitness and activity center for Gonzaga students, faculty, and staff.

Welcome to the Rudolf Fitness Center The Kermit M. Rudolf Fitness Center has two stories of the best cardiovascular and weightlifting equipment on the market. Gonzaga has mixed "old" and "new" for an Industrial feel, yet it has all the modern amenities.

The Field house was opened March 1987 and has 3 basketball courts, 1/11 mile running track, 4 racquetball courts and a large fitness studio.Indoor courts for GU Intramurals 
 Large Fitness StudioLarge fitness studio starts at 7am and is programmed until 11pm with PE and Dance credit courses, such as cardio kickboxing, Pilates, ballet and jazz dance; Rudolf Fitness Center non-credit courses, such as yoga, the blend (Pilates and yoga combination class), sports conditioning and is home to the Dance Team and Bomb Squad.
Small fitness studio is reserved for non-credit courses of X-Biking and serves as an open general fitness room. Small Fitness Studio

Home of GU Intramural swim meetThe swimming pool was built in 1964 that is a 6 lane, 25 yard facility. It is open throughout the day for lap swim opportunities, it is also used for PE’s Scuba classes, GU Outdoor Adventures Kayaking Roll sessions and Rudolf Fitness Center non-credit courses such as shallow and deep water aerobics and Masters swimming.

The first floor consists of 22 Hammer Strength machines, a full line of free weights and ab area for core work. 
  The second floor consists of 54 pieces of Matrix, Precor and LifeFitness cardio and a cable weight training circuit.
