What is your favorite place on campus?
DeSmet Hall, the [largest] all-guys dorm on campus. I've met my best friends for life there, and had some unforgettable moments that have helped define my college career.
What about your favorite place in Spokane?
Luigi's Italian Restaurant. I would imagine there is no place which makes you feel so close to Italy, without actually being there. Their food is amazing, the atmosphere is lively but enjoyable, and the staff makes you feel like you are at home. Their food is only second to my mom's.
Which class and/or professor have you enjoyed the most so far?
One of my favorite classes has been Philosophy 201: Human Nature with Professor Mark Bowman. It is a discussion-based class where you get to talk about some of the most famous works in philosophy, written by Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, and every other philosopher you have heard of. Professor Bowman makes all the discussions relevant, to make PHIL 201 more than just another core class.
Give us a fun fact about you:
My spirit animal is the Otter.
What extra-curricular activity do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy intramurals the most. I get to play every sport you can imagine, on every sort of skill level, for cheap - which becomes really important. I have been able to play intramurals with my best friends and it is a blast.
Even though you haven't left Gonzaga yet, what is your favorite memory so far?
By far my freshman year, spending a week in the cold to camp out for basketball games against Washington State University and Wake Forest University to get second row seats. My advice to any incoming freshman is that any amount of camping for a game, at any negative degree temperature is worth it. Basketball games are something everyone looks forward to, and miss a lot when they leave.
