Physics

The Department of Physics helps you develop advanced problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of the science of physics, particularly in the fundamental areas of classical mechanics, quantum mechanics and electromagnetism.

We go beyond the classroom and into the laboratory to study and test advanced physics concepts, processes and theories. Through these hands-on research experiences, you learn to independently design and conduct experiments that solve practical physics problems, as well as to analyze and present complex data.

We offer a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Science and a minor in physics. Our graduates are prepared for success in graduate studies, medical school and other professional studies, and a broad range of science, engineering and technology careers.
