PACCAR Center for Applied Science
In 2008 the School of Engineering and Applied Science opened up the Intel Corporation Computational Science Laboratory (ICCSL) on the main floor of the PACCAR Center for Applied Science. This research laboratory currently contains a computer cluster of over 130 active nodes which facilitates the calculation of complex problems in parallel over those nodes. The primary focus of this lab is to promote computational, undergrad research across multiple fields of discipline at Gonzaga.
Herak Center for Engineering
The Department of Computer Science operates two computer labs in the Herak Center for Engineering. The first lab is the general purpose lab for all computer science majors and those students taking computer science classes. It includes 33 Intel i5 workstations and is currently running with the latest version of Linux CentOS. The second lab is the Senior Lab. This lab is a dedicated workspace for all computer science seniors to work on their senior design projects. Each senior is given their own Intel i5 workstation and has free reign to set it up for their own project’s needs.
