Gonzaga Sponsored Study Abroad Programs Year, semester, and summer sponsored programs available to GU undergraduate students are outlined below. These programs include exchange and faculty-led programs. Regardless of your program selection, all students must process through the GU Study Abroad office. Faculty-led programs are developed and led by GU faculty. The programs usually take place during the summer and can be competitive as space is limited. Operation of a faculty-led program is dependent on administrative approval and minimum enrollment. They may not operate on a yearly basis. Faculty-led programs for 2012 include:		Exchange Programs Exchange programs are agreements between GU and foreign universities. Students direct enroll at the partner university for a semester or year and in exchange they send students to GU. Students pay GU tuition. Room and board are paid to the host university. Exchanges can be competitive as there are limited number of spaces available each year. Apply early. GU Exchange programs include:
	Gonzaga-in-Florence Academic year, semester, summer in Italy. Courses in business,engineering (spring only), humanities. Courses taught in English.		Spirituality & the Arts of England Summer. 	Gonzaga-in-Paris Academic year, semester. Courses in French. Two years French required or equivalent.		Gonzaga-in-Colombia Global Water issues in Cali, Colombia. Take Chemistry 190 and fulfill GU core science requirement.		Akita International University Year, semester in Japan. Humanities and business. 2 years Japanese required.
	School for Field Studies Semester in Australia. Center for rainforest studies in Queensland.		Gonzaga-in-Cuernavaca Summer. Classes include Mexican art, history, literature, anthropology, politics, and Spanish.		Sophia University Year, semester in Japan. Humanities and business. 2 years Japanese required.
	School for Field Studies Semester in Turks & Caicos. Marine resources management.		Gonzaga-in-Turkey: Origins & Empires Summer. Take classical civilization, religious studies, and broadcast studies courses and satisfy degree requirements.		Erasmus University in the Netherlands Semester. Courses are taught in English with political science focus.
	School for Field Studies Semester in Costa Rica. Sustainable development studies.		Gonzaga-in-Benin Summer. Study the history, culture, and development in Benin, West Africa and earn 3 credits in Philosophy 495.		Universitat Ramon Llull Spring semester in Barcelona, Spain. Business courses taught in English

	Casa de la Solidaridad Semester in El Salvador. Literature, language, politics, religious studies. 2 yrs Spanish required.		Gonzaga-in-Zambezi Summer in Zambia. Intercultural servant leadership (CLP).		Chang Gung University Year, Semester in Taiwan. Business courses.
	The London Center Semester in England. Courses in literature, politics, theater, history, and art history.		Gonzaga-in-Monze Summer in Zambia. Earn 4 credits toward the teacher certification program.
	Trinity College Academic year or semester in Dublin.		History & Art in Rome, Italy Summer.
	Granada Program Semester in Spain. Classes taught in Spanish. Equivalent of 5 semesters of college level Spanish required.		Japan Nursing Tour Summer. Explore nursing and healthcare in Japan in a 10 day cross cultural study tour. Earn 1 credit for NURS 498: Comparative Health Care in Japan.

Sponsored Honors Programs GU students in the Honors program can study anywhere in the world using GU funding, as long as the country does not have a travel warning. The first semester will be considered sponsored. A second semester abroad would be considered a non-sponsored program.
	University of Glasgow Semester in Scotland. For students in Honor's program only.

Non-Sponsored Programs Non-sponsored programs for the semester or year require a leave of absence for the purpose of studying abroad. Students receive transfer credit if courses are approved before going abroad and if a minimum grade of C is earned. Federal aid travels through consortium agreements. Administration fee: $400 per year, $200 per semester, $100 per summer program. Regardless of your program selection, all students must process through the GU Study Abroad office.
