PROGRAM OVERVIEW Akita International University (AIU) is a junior year, semester, or summer exchange program. Study at AIU, a small, liberal arts college with a global orientation, located in the beautiful Akita Prefecture on the northern Japanese seaboard. Humanities and business courses are taught in English and a variety of Japanese language courses are offered. Students live in university dorms. Prerequisite: Two years of Japanese. PROGRAM OVERVIEW Sophia University, a prestigious Jesuit institution in Tokyo, participates in a yearly exchange program with Gonzaga. The program admits three full academic year GU students or six semester students. A wide range of courses, including international studies and business are taught in English, but students must complete at least two years of college level Japanese in order to be accepted.
