Study Abroad with Gonzaga in Paris

Gonzaga-in-Paris is a year or semester-long program for students who want to attain advanced proficiency in French language and a deeper understanding of French culture. The purpose of the Gonzaga-in-Paris program, designed for juniors with a background in French (three semesters or the equivalent), is for complete immersion in the French culture and language with the specific goal of achieving fluency. The student walks away with immeasurable personal growth, self-confidence, and the satisfaction that comes with having mastered a language and a culture. Students take up to 15 credit hours at L'Institut Catholique or La Sorbonne.While the Gonzaga-in-Paris program is challenging, students receive continuous, personalized support from the director in Paris and the director in Spokane.

  • Program Cost: Program charges include tuition, room, full board, trips, cultural events, and an International Student Identification Card. The program fee is set each year by Gonzaga administration based on the exchange rate. All financial aid, including scholarships are applicable to the program.

Interested GU students are encourage to apply early. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Application Procedure

  1. Application form (type directly into pdf and then print completed application)
  2. $50 non-refundable study abroad fee payable via Study Abroad CASHNet
  3. One (1) academic recommendation (to be completed by a professor who has taught you in a three credit course)
  4. One (1) language recommendation (to be completed by a faculty member in the French department)
  5. GU Student Life clearance online form
  6. GU Academic clearance online form
  7. Submit your application to the GU Study Abroad office either in person (323 E Boone Ave) or by campus mail to AD Box 85.
