ProQuest Direct

ProQuest Direct covers many disciplines, and has many sub-databases.  Users can choose to search one database at a time, or multiple databases at once (by clicking on the "Select multiple databases" link).  Databases included in ProQuest Direct are ABI/INFORM Trade & Industry, Alt-Press Watch, Dissertations & Theses, Ethnic NewsWatch, Reference, Research Library, and ProQuest Newspapers. By clicking on checkboxes, users can easily limit their searches to full text documents only, or to only include scholarly and peer-reviewed journals.  

ProQuest Direct allows users to mark items to store in the "My Research" folder, located in a tab at the top of the screen.  These items only stay in the folder for one session; once the browser window is closed, the folder empties.
