Undergraduate Student Scholarships
Each year, scholarships from endowments and gifts are awarded to full-time business majors and graduate students by a Scholarship Committee in the School of Business. Only full-time business and accounting majors who are returning in fall 2012 are eligible for these scholarships. The deadline for 2012-2013 Undergraduate Business Scholarship Applications is February 1, 2012. These scholarships are awarded to students who are returning for the fall 2012 semester.
1. A list of representative scholarships can be obtained by clicking here.
2. All applications must be submitted through the web form by clicking here.
3. All applications must be supported by a recommendation from a faculty member, faculty advisor, or an employer. After you have approached them regarding a recommendation and they have agreed to provide one, they will submit their recommendation via an online form. The link to the form will be emailed to your recommender after you complete this recommendation request form. Multiple recommendations are acceptable; however, you must complete a separate request form for each recommender.
Financial Need. Financial aid forms (e.g., FAFSA) must have been filed with the University by students applying for any of the scholarships. Please note that there are a small percentage of scholarships that do not have need-based criteria. For such scholarships, the filing of a FAFSA is not necessary. To be eligible for any scholarship that has need-based criteria a FAFSA is necessary.
Declared Majors and Concentrations. Please be sure you have properly declared your major(s) and concentration(s) with the University by February 1st, so your records match any declared majors/concentrations on your application. This is important for scholarships that require a specific major/concentration.
Renewable scholarships! If you already are receiving a renewable scholarship from the School of Business, and maintained your eligibility, please do not apply again. Students may only receive one School of Business scholarship per year. Not all scholarships are renewable, please see the description of your scholarship and verify with Dorothy Greenamyer (see above right for contact information) if you have any questions. Students who receive the Brajcich scholarship- please do not apply again.
