Students enrolled in Nursing Department courses must have a working knowledge of the use of computer hardware, software, and internet connectivity.

DVD-RW Player (may be part of personal computer or connected to television
Personal computer (desktop or laptop)
Operating system: Windows 98 (prefer XP) or later OR Apple* with OS 10 or later
Sound capability native sound or separate sound card with speakers
Printer
* If using Apple computer, student must be able to INDEPENDENTLY manage complex document transfer to and from Windows NT network.
Connectivity
Internet access (high speed “ cable modem, DSL, or other) preferable but not required
Internet browser (NOT AOL) Internet Explorer or Netscape
Email program (NOT AOL) that allows user to manage document transfer without size limitation
