What is BRIDGE?

The Summer BRIDGE is a pre-orientation program implemented by the Unity Multicultural Education Center. It is designed to assist students from multicultural and/or first generation backgrounds with a smooth transition to Gonzaga University and the Spokane area. It complements the New Student Orientation by providing incoming students with a lifetime of memories and friendships.

BRIDGE introduces students to Gonzaga faculty and staff as well as to other students of similar backgrounds. Students will be building their own bridge into the Gonzaga community and establishing strong and lasting relationships with people who will provide them with priceless information about campus services, programs, and student life.

BRIDGE allows students to build a foundation and a network within the Gonzaga community that will help them through their first year of college. The mentorship and learning process does not end at the conclusion of the BRIDGE program, but will continue on throughout the students' Gonzaga experience.

WHY should I go to BRIDGE?

    • Meet the wonderful Gonzaga faculty and staff

    • Attend interactive sessions that will give you a head start at Gonzaga

    • Learn about campus resources and familiarize yourself with important campus offices and sites

    • Get to know Spokane and what it has to offer

    • Move into your residence hall and buy your books before the rush
