The Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American College Health Association (ACHA) recommends that parents and students are aware of the following information about meningitis:

• Students living in residence halls are at slightly increased risk for bacterial meningitis.

• Meningitis can be devastating.

• A vaccination can reduce the risk for meningitis.

Please consult with your health care provider or come in for the vaccine at our Health Center.
