Mission Statement

The Counseling Center participates as an integral part of the Gonzaga University educational mission which is rooted in a long tradition of humanistic, Catholic and Jesuit values. We are a resource to our students by providing short-term "focused" counseling to assist them in developing personal and professional goals and to help them in acquiring strategies for coping with obstacles that prevent them from concentrating on their education. As counselors, we are also involved in advocating for student needs, outreach programming, teaching, and consultation activities that support the efforts of our faculty and staff in improving the university environment.
