Nestled on the edge of the Spokane River, Gonzaga University is home to approximately 4,200 undergraduate students. Gonzaga is a private, four year comprehensive university that prides itself on its Jesuit, humanistic heritage. The Jesuit philosophy of education is based on the 450 year old Ignatian model which aims to educate the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. At Gonzaga, cura personalis, or care for the individual, is our guiding mission. Gonzaga University is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and university in the United States. |
Residence Life at Gonzaga provides a variety of living options to our students including traditional style halls, suite style halls, and apartments. The University offers both coed and single sex halls. The hall sizes range from 350 residents to 40 residents and for the purposes of professional staffing are arranged into residence hall blocks. Residence Life employs 6 full time, professional residence directors in addition to the student staff who works in the halls. Hall staffs are nicely complimented by the presence of chaplains in some halls.

Home to Gonzaga University, Spokane Washington is currently the second largest city in the state of Washington and is the largest city between Seattle and Minneapolis. The metropolitan area of Spokane, Washington is home to approximately 400,000 people. In case you were wondering, Spokane lies on the “sunny side” of the state and is not far from recreation areas in Washington, Idaho, and Montana.
