July 22 - 24, 2016
Spokane GOOB is a smaller setting outdoors Pre-Orientation trip for 30 first year students. Spokane GOOB takes place mid-summer during a weekend in July. Incoming first year students are invited to Gonzaga's campus for a full weekend of adventures in the Spokane/Coder d'Alene area. The weekend is packed full of outdoor fun and adventure right in Gonzaga's backyard. Students should be prepared for a fast-paced, exciting time!
Activities include rafting/kayaking on the Spokane River, hiking Liberty Lake, a high-ropes course and other exciting activities. Evenings are spent at Lake Coder d'Alene making s'mores and spending time with other first year students and the upperclassmen adventure guides. This is a fantastic way to meet other students, to learn about Gonzaga, and become acquainted with the outdoor recreation opportunities in the Inland Northwest before you even start school!
