Shalom Ministries

Shalom Ministries is a not for profit organization committed to meeting the basic needs of homeless and low-income persons in our community.  Shalom seeks to build community through the practice of extending hospitality and dignity to those who hunger and thirst in body, mind, and spirit.  Our goal is to break the cycle of homelessness by creating a sense f belonging to something—the Shalom community   Shalom’s program consists of three integrated parts aimed at ending the cycle of poverty and homelessness by meeting he basic needs, building community, and increasing access to services and job training.  The goal of our volunteer program is to breakdown stereotypes and barriers between those who have homes and those who are homeless, those who are mentally and physically disabled and those who aren’t, those who are able to cope with life’s trials and those who struggle to cope, those who live in poverty and those who have a living wage.
