Campus Kitchens at Gonzaga University is involved with helping provide meals for different organizations each week. Campus Kitchens, since August of 2005, has delivered 32,000 meals, recovered 26,000 pounds of food from dining services on campus, restaurants, and grocery stores and has tracked 5,000 volunteer hours. If you would like to get involved please contact the Campus Kitchen to reserve your shift, arrive for your shift at the Cataldo kitchen, the entrance is around the back of Cataldo Hall facing the Sharp Apartments, then immediately put your talents to work, and have fun meeting new people while helping low-income individuals.  Turkeypalooza!!!!

Turkeypalooza at Gonzaga University runs from November 19^th through 23^rd.  Campus Kitchen at Gonzaga University puts on a number of food drives during this time to collect both turkey and other Thanksgiving related items so people will not have to go without a Thanksgiving meal due to economic reasons.  Last year, we were able to serve 1046 meals for Thanksgiving, as well as groceries for 60 families. "Take Your Turkey to Work Day" this year is Monday, November 11^th.  It is a day when Gonzaga students, faculty and staff can get involved and donate a turkey for Turkeypalooza.  One of the food drives that is almost on its way for this year's Turkeypalooza is the food drive at season opener for the Gonzaga Women's Basketball game on November 6^th.  We also have a food drive at Rosauer's on 14th and Monroe on Sunday, November 8^th, as well as on Sunday, November 15^th.  If you are interested in helping out with these food drives or helping us cook on Wednesday, November 18^th, please contact Emily Paulson at epaulson@campuskitchens.org or Ext. 6939.
