Bailley Wootton - Assistant Director for Youth Programming

Bailley manages the mentoring programs at CCASL. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and her master's degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Bailley came to CCASL in September 2011 after working for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. She is originally from Spokane and is excited to be back in the Northwest! Bekah Bambas - College Access Corps Americorps

Bekah is an AmeriCorps College Access Corps program coordinator serving with the middle school mentoring programs and Zag Study Buddies. She graduated from Gonzaga University in May 2014 with a degree in Psychology. She has been a mentor and student leader with the Zag Study Buddies program, while also being a CCASL work study student. She has worked as the summer intern for the GU Campus Kitchens. Brandi Praytor-Marsters - Middle School Mentoring Coordinator

Brandi joined the CCASL team in August of 2014 as the Middle School Mentoring Coordinator. She supervises four mentoring programs: Connections, GAME, Eye to Eye, and Zag Study Buddies. She has been in higher education for the past three years and enjoys assisting students in reaching their dreams. Brandi completed three terms of service for the Federal Way Public Schools AmeriCorps team. She is working toward a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education through Colorado State University, and received a B.S. in Sociology from the University of Idaho. Brandi enjoys spending summer days at the many beaches of Lake Coeur d’Alene. Chris Wheatley - Associate Director 

Chris joined the CCASL staff in January of 2013 as the Associate Director. Prior to CCASL, he served as the Assistant Manager of Student Publications at Gonzaga for over five years. Chris manages the academic service learning area of CCASL. Darcy Phillips - Service Immersion Coordinator

Darcy joined the CCASL team in August 2015 as the Service Immersion Coordinator. Prior to CCASL, she served as the In-Country Director for Rostro de Cristo, a post graduate volunteer program, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She received her BA in Spanish from Xavier University and her MA in Social Justice from Loyola University Chicago. She is excited to be at Gonzaga and to explore the Northwest! Emily Luse - College Access Corps AmeriCorps

Emily is an AmeriCorps College Access Corps program coordinator serving with the middle school mentoring programs. She graduated in June of 2015 from Gonzaga with a BA in History and a Teacher Certification in Secondary Ed. for Social Studies and English as a Second Language. She was a mentor and student leader for Connections mentoring at Shaw middle school and was lucky enough to student teach there as well. Originally from all over the country, she is excited to stay in Spokane and continue working in the local community. When not teaching or working, she enjoys reading and being outside, especially in the garden at her tiny home. Emily Paulson - Campus Kitchen Coordinator

Emily is the coordinator for the Campus Kitchen at Gonzaga University.  The Campus Kitchens Project utilizes food recovered from on-campus dining facilities to strengthen bodies, empower the minds of student volunteers, and build communities.  Emily graduated from Gonzaga with a BA in General Studies and an Elementary Education Endorsement.  Contact Emily for current volunteer opportunities at 509.313.6939 or at

Hannah Klaassen - Coordinator of Student and Community Engagement

Hannah began her role as Coordinator of Student and Community Engagement in August of 2015. Prior to joining the CCASL team, she worked for Lutheran Volunteer Corps in the Chicago office. She has a master’s degree in divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. Hannah has experience in chaplaincy, workforce development, refugee resettlement, and communications. Jaclyn Geyer - Washington Service Corps AmeriCorps, Campus Kitchens

Jaclyn joined the CCASL team as the Campus Kitchens Washington Service Corps AmeriCorps Member for 2015. She graduated from Stadium High School and went on to College at Whitworth University where she graduated with a degree in history. She like animals and have always had at least a dog and a cat. Julia Larsen - Program Assistant II

Julia joined CCASL in August 2014 in the role of Program Assistant II for the mentoring programs. Julia is British and has been a U.S resident since 2006. She studied at Hitchin Girls School in Hertfordshire, England where she graduated at the Advanced Level in English and Sociology. Following a 2 year period of traveling and working in Europe, Julia joined the Corporate Sector in the UK where she worked for many years. She is very much looking forward to adapting and using her skills and experience in a non-profit capacity supporting the mission of our students and the CCASL team. Lauren Mills - Campus Kids Coordinator

Lauren is the Campus Kids Program Coordinator at CCASL. She is a proud GU alum and graduated from Gonzaga in 2012 with a dual degree in Psychology and Sociology. Immediately after graduation, Lauren joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and spent a year in St. Louis, Missouri as an after school coordinator. Lauren is ecstatic to be back at Gonzaga and at CCASL- both communities hold a special place in her heart. Lexi Mitchell - College Access Corps AmeriCorps

Lexi is an AmeriCorps College Access Corps Elementary School Specialist working primarily with Campus Kids and Smile. She graduated from Gonzaga in 2015 with a B.A. in Psychology and was involved in various mentoring and leadership positions such as Gonzaga cheerleading, Bomb Squad, Multicultural Honors Society, and mentoring for SMILE and BRIDGE. Mary Kelly - Secretary

Mary enjoys working with the dynamic and committed staff and students at CCASL. She joined the team in August 2010 and is happy to be back on campus working with the students of her alma mater. After Graduating with a BA in Speech Communications, Mary spent 2 ½ years in Niger serving as an Environmental Protection Volunteer with the Peace Corps. Molly Ayers - Director

Molly has over ten years of experience in higher education and the field of civic engagement. As director, she provides leadership and direction to Gonzaga University’s Center for Community Action and Service Learning (CCASL) by working with colleagues across campus and partners in the local community to develop academic and co-curricular engagement opportunities that help address community need. Molly’s passion for this work was first ignited when she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA coordinating service-learning projects for Seattle-based Alliance for Education. Molly is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a BA in History and an MA in Philosophy. Phoebe Oosterhuis - Program Assistant III

Phoebe joined CCASL as the Program Assistant in July of 2012 and she is thrilled to be a part of this organization. Originally from Minneapolis, she moved to Spokane in 2010 when her husband accepted a professorship at Gonzaga. Although she misses her family and friends (but not the mosquitos or humidity) in the Midwest, she has loved the opportunity to join the theater community in Spokane. She has appeared in several productions in the area. Phoebe has a BA from the College of St Benedict in St. Joseph, MN and she plans to start the Masters in Organizational Leadership in the spring of 2014.
