Employment & Further Education Outcomes

The Career Center & GAMP office recently began contacting undergraduates one year after graduating to collect career outcomes information. Below is a summary of the information collected so far. As more data is gathered each year, it will be posted to this site.

One-Year-Out Summary  |  Class of May 2011

  • 91% of respondents reported currently working (including volunteering/ service, interning, or military service)

o    79% were not under-employed (i.e., they had a position requiring a college degree)

o    55% had at least one internship while attending Gonzaga

o    71% utilized the Career Center & GAMP services and career preparation tools

  • 25% reported enrollment in an academic program, seeking a degree

o    25% were receiving a fellowship while attending school

o    80% were of the opinion that their post-graduate studies were “considerably” or “completely” related to their undergraduate studies at Gonzaga

  • When asked to put themselves into one category that best describes their current status, only 3.7% classified themselves as “Not employed, seeking employment.”

Methodology:

In 2012, for the first time, the Career Center & GAMP office collected one-year-out employment and further education outcomes data from the undergraduate class of 2011.  Survey data were collected online between 6/5/2012 and 7/28/2012.  The survey response rate was 33%.  Percentages above are based on the number of respondents to each question.
