Opening and Closing Dates
FALL SEMESTER 2011
Opening for Fall Semester
For new students, the residence halls and on-campus apartments open for the fall semester on Friday, August 26, 2011, 9 am - 4 pm or Saturday, August 27, 2011, 9 am to noon. New residents may check-in at their assigned building.
For returning residents, the residence halls and on-campus apartments open for the fall semester on Sunday, August 28 2011 at 10 am - 4 pm. Returning residents may check-in at their assigned building.
Thanksgiving Break Week
All residence buildings will remain accessible to fall semester occupants. However, residents must notify their Residence Director if the plan to stay all or part of the break.
Closing for Christmas Break (Incl. Check-out for Residents Not Returning for the Spring Semester)
Residence buildings (except for Burch, Corkery, and Kennedy) close for the Christmas break. Residents must vacate their room within 24 hours of your last final exam or by Friday, December 16, at 10 am (whichever occurs first). At this time, most building entrances will be re-keyed and kept locked until the spring semester opening on Sunday, January 15, 2012.
Residents of Burch, Corkery, and Kennedy must notify their Residence Director if the plan to stay all or part of the break.
SPRING SEMESTER 2012
Opening After Christmas Break (Incl. Check-in for New Spring Semester Residents)
Residence halls reopen for the spring semester on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 10 am. New residents may check-in at their assigned building.
Spring Break
All residence buildings will remain accessible to spring semester residents. However, residents must notify their Residence Director if the plan to stay all or part of the break.
The Marketplace Dining Hall (COG) will be closed during spring break. The last meal served is dinner on Friday (3/9) and the first meal served at the end of spring break is dinner on Sunday (3/18)
Check-Out
Saturday, May 12, 2012 12:00 pm (noon):
Residents must vacate their room within 24 hours of your last final exam or by Saturday, May 12, 2012 at noon (whichever occurs first). Those graduating or needing an extension to these deadlines should contact their Resident Director well in advance.
