Welcome to Campus Kids!

Campus Kids Campus Kids

Campus Kids is a campus based mentoring program designed to help children grades 4-6 succeed in academics and relationship building. It was designed in response to the Gonzaga University neighborhood challenge to do something to impact the growing numbers of youth at risk for academic failure. Every week, students from the Logan Neighborhood come to campus to spend time with their Gonzaga University mentor. This fosters resilience in Logan's at-risk youth by establishing successful relationships, providing opportunities for participation in varied academic, recreational, and social activities, and helping mentees to create a vision for their future.

 Campus Kids

The students come to campus from 3:00 - 5:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday; mentors should visit their mentee for at least one hour per week at the school; and once per month there is a Saturday activity.  In the past, Saturday activities have included ice skating, a Halloween party, and bowling.  Campus Kids is a year long commitment.  We would like mentors who are willing to continue in the program with their mentee for longer than one year but this is not a requirement.  Anyone who loves working with children should apply. If you have any questions please contact Katie Kaiser at 509-313-6821 or ex. 6821 on campus.
