| Diversity Monologues: MC and Poet Laura Yes Yes | |
|
The first annual Diversity Monologues contest is an event that will foster the development of our student’s voices as well as motivate them to embrace their imagination and utilize their creativity. 8 contestants have been selected to present their monologue that addresses their coming to know beauty based on their cultural background and multiple identities. More specifically, students answered this questions in their monologues: Based on your cultural background, friends, media, education, social class, community, and overall life experience, how do you come to know beauty? The top 3 monologues will be awarded with cash prizes! Diversity Monologue Contestants:
