GU Wind Symphony Performs Nov. 20 at St. Aloysius

The 50-piece Gonzaga Wind Symphony with Gonzaga University music Associate Professor Robert Spittal conducting, will perform a diverse program of works at St. Aloysius Church, located on the Gonzaga University campus, starting at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20. Admission is free to GU faculty, staff and students; $5 for all others. 

Ben Rosenblatt, a senior piano performance major at Gonzaga, will be the featured guest soloist. Rosenblatt will perform a wind symphonic arrangement of Edvard Grieg’s “Concerto for Piano and Orchestra.”

The program also will include works by Gustav Holst, Reynaldo Hahn and Giovanni Gabrieli, alongside two lighter works by nationally renowned, Spokane-based composers William Berry and Spittal.
