Martyrs' Month Screening 'Voces Inocentes' Nov. 5

November marks Martyrs’ Month and Gonzaga University will present a film screening of “Voces Inocentes” -- which translated from Spanish means “Voices of the Innocent” -- at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5 in the Jepson Center Wolff Auditorium. The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Justice Club and University Ministry.

The event marks the 20th anniversary of the Nov. 16, 1989 assassinations of six Jesuit priests, their housekeeper and her 15-year-old daughter in El Salvador and asks attendees to reflect on the Jesuits' call to action against injustice in Latin America. Twenty-six soldiers were later convicted in their deaths.
