The Gonzaga University School of Business Administration will present a special Dean’s Business Forum breakfast event Thursday, May 28 featuring Gonzaga President Rev. Robert J. Spitzer, S.J., who will discuss the major ethical issues those in business face today.
The event begins at 7 a.m. with a breakfast and the program runs from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in the Wolff Auditorium of the Jepson Center at Gonzaga. The cost is $15 per person. For more information, contact Dorothy Greenamyer via e-mail or at (509) 313-5991.
Rev. Spitzer announced in March 2008 that he will step down from the Gonzaga presidency this summer after serving his alma mater for 11 years. He and his administration have created a strategic plan that will provide a blueprint for Gonzaga through 2012.
Last month, Rev. Spitzer announced that he would continue to work for the common good after leaving Gonzaga by developing and expanding two institutes that he founded and has nurtured over the past 15 years: the Magis Institute in Irvine, Calif., and the Spitzer Center for Ethical Leadership in Ann Arbor, Mich. In addition, he plans to continue writing academic books and also will write popular versions of academic books he has authored.
