| GLBT Resource Center Hosts Family Event April 23 | |
|
Gonzaga University's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Resource Center will host a faculty panel discussion about the differing dynamics involved in 21st century families from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, April 23 in the Jepson Center's Wolff Auditorium. Panelists will be Gonzaga psychology Assistant Professor Anna Marie Medina, sociology Professor Jane Rinehart and religious studies Assistant Professor Matthew Rindge. Gonzaga students, faculty and staff along with the public are welcome to attend the event, The GLBT Resource Center is a safe space on campus that accepts everyone regardless of sexual orientation. The center hosts events, such as this presentation, to help raise awareness and knowledge of issues pertaining to sexual orientation. During this event, Medina will speak on how children are affected by growing up in diverse or blended families. Rinehart will speak about modern changes and the new family reality.
