GU Music Presents Gala Concert April 24 at The Fox
The Gonzaga University music department will host a Gala Concert at 8 p.m., Friday, April 24 in the Martin Woldson Theatre at The Fox, downtown Spokane. There is no cost for admission to the event but donations are suggested.

Gonzaga music faculty Robert Spittal and Irene Messoloras will conduct this celebratory musical Gala, featuring Puccini’s stirring “Messa di Gloria” for symphony orchestra and 80-voice choir. Guest singers In Joon Jang and Daniel Suk from the Los Angeles Opera will be featured soloists for the Puccini piece.

Other works on the program include “Pacem – A Hymn for Peace” composed by Spittal, and the “Cello Concerto” by Camille Saint-Saens, with Gonzaga music faculty member Kevin Hekmatpanah as soloist.
