Student's Work to be Featured in Nov. 20 Concert

The Gonzaga University Wind Symphony and Chamber Winds, conducted by Gonzaga music Associate Professor Robert Spittal, will perform in concert at The Bing Crosby Theatre at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20. The concert is free to GU students, faculty and staff; $5 for the public.

Original wind music by Richard Strauss and Antonin Dvorak will be featured, as will contemporary works by American composer and Pulitzer Prize-winner John Adams, and Gonzaga student-composer Casey Nagata. Nagata, a senior composition and music education student who studies composition with Rev. Kevin Waters, S.J., dean emeritus of the College of Arts and Sciences and a member of the Gonzaga music faculty.
