Senior Thesis Art Exhibition Opens April 24

The Senior Thesis Art Exhibition, an annual presentation showcasing the work of Gonzaga University’s graduating art majors, opens with a free public reception preview from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, April 23 at the Jundt Art Museum. The exhibition officially opens to the public April 24 in the Jundt Galleries.
The Senior Exhibition marks the culmination of the Gonzaga art department’s Bachelor of Arts degree program. Participating students are required to submit a portfolio of work and share the responsibilities of all aspects of the exhibit. A diverse collection of drawings, paintings, prints and ceramics will be displayed through May 9. 


The student/ artists featured in the 2009 Senior Thesis Art Exhibition are: Nathaniel Duncan, Liberty Lake, Wash.; Ishvara Labay, Spokane; Misao Laux, Pacific, Wash.; Steven Prohira, Franktown, Colo.; Amy Ronning, Gig Harbor, Wash.; Haley Serra, Spokane; and Anneke Thompson, Newcastle, Wash.
"Jacob Lawrence: Genesis,” featuring the screenprint series “Eight Studies for the Book of Genesis,” continues in the Arcade Gallery until July 31.
The museum’s exhibitions are free and open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and noon- 4 p.m. on Saturdays; closed Sundays and University holidays.
