Gonzaga Faculty Promotions, Tenure

Gonzaga University President Rev. Robert J. Spitzer, S.J., based on the recommendation of Interim Academic Vice President Thayne McCulloh and the Committee on Rank and Tenure, has approved tenure for the following faculty, effective Sept. 1, 2009: Julie Beckstead, College of Arts and Sciences; S. Boyd Foster, School of Education; Patsy Fowler, College of Arts and Sciences; Andrew Goldman, College of Arts and Sciences; Daniel Law, School of Business Administration; Tod Marshall, College of Arts and Sciences; and Bradley Striebig, School of Engineering and Applied Science.

In addition, the following faculty have been promoted, effective Sept. 1, 2008:

From assistant to associate professor: S. Boyd Foster, School of Education; Andrew Goldman, College of Arts and Sciences; and Daniel Law, School of Business Administration.

To professor emeritus (men) or emerita (women): James Dallen, College of Arts and Sciences; Bud Hazel, College of Arts and Sciences; Sandra Wilson, School of Professional Studies – Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies; and Jim Vaché, School of Law.

Finally, Gonzaga’s Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science Dennis Horn, based on the recommendation of the faculty member’s department, has approved the promotion of John Dacquisto to the rank of senior lecturer. This position became effective Sept. 1, 2007.
