Gonzaga University, in collaboration with Seattle University, will host the 2008 Spring Leadership Conference, titled “Leadership and Spirit,” all day on Saturday, April 26. The event, which begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
The conference brings together graduate students from Gonzaga University and Seattle University for the second consecutive year to exchange ideas, share research and build relationships that will continue beyond the boundaries of this conference.
The theme for this year’s conference is, “Leadership and Spirit,” which evokes the notion that leadership is not contained in the individual, but reaches beyond the past and to the future; to the forces that shape, inspire and guide us.
The keynote address will be delivered by Linda Lawrence Hunt, Ph.D., an associate professor of English at Whitworth University and award-winning author. Featured speakers for the complimentary event include Gonzaga President Rev. Robert J.Spitzer, S.J., GU School of Professional Studies Dean Mary McFarland, and Sandi Wilson, a professor in Gonzaga’s Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies.
Breakout sessions include presentations by GU and SU doctoral students.
Please RSVP by April 18 for this complimentary conference at www.gonzaga.edu/ce. For more information, e-mail questions to Continuing Education or call (509) 323-3575.
